Lauren's Rescue Vision

Dear Lauren, (and Readers)

      In hopes of helping you confirm your destiny and CALLING,

allow me to write you about  a few things that struck me after

When Lauren Daigle sat down to write her hit ballad Rescueshe had in mind a loved one who was struggling with life – making it one of the most personal songs she’s ever recorded. In a ‘Story Behind the Song’ video, Lauren describes a vision she had which inspired the chorus, and shares the depth of emotion she felt in the recording studio.

“I remember getting this vision about a girl who was caught in a really desperate situation,” she said. “She was running to all of these vices in order to find just an element of hope… and in came, walking down the hall, Jesus.

“And instead of judging her for maybe some of the actions that she had chosen that were really painful and difficult, he sat with her in the midst of it all. And he didn’t try to fix her, he just was with her.”

Well Lauren, I would have to interpret this vision, as you being the girl in the vision, rather than someone else. The problem being that you and your persona on-line which is all that I really know about you (as we haven't meet), doesn't seem to match.... but it must, as it has to because you can't be pleading for Mercy and the Lord's Grace unless you believe yourself to be a sinner, and you know you are. I don't know what your vices are, and don't care, for sometimes our vices are sins against the false standards the false church system has put in the minds of those raised in the church. Nevertheless, it still remains you are a horrible sinner, like the rest of us. None of us are good sinners, sin is sin, and we ALL need the Mercy and Grace of the Lord.

To me, watching your you tube video...  'How Can It Be'   felt real when you sang...

I am guilty
Ashamed of what I've done, what I've become
These hands are dirty
I dare not lift them up to the Holy one

But how could that be ? ?  How could you sing with that much emotion straight from the heart unless you had lived it and been through it ? ? Church people seldom think they are dirty, they can raise their hands to the Lord for show, but again seldom ..... because they think they are NOT dirty rotten sinners like the rest of us. Don't get me wrong, I love the song, the lyrics and the way you sang it. You seem so angelic. So rather than believing you are a pretender, I reckon, you truly believe and know you are a sinner, and sang from true life experiences, and the depth of despair you have gone through.

I mean, even in the music video, you could see you prayed earnestly. I believe, you meant exactly what you prayed and sang. So bear with me, Lauren as I try to help you with a few scriptures and examples from the Lord's own life experiences

that the false church system must be attacking you with. They must surely be trying to make you compromise your heart and love for those who are not 'goody two shoes' heterosexuals. And they will be relentless against you. (I know from personal experiences as a missionary for forty years)  Why, because you are more of a free spirit, and not conforming to their dress codes and more. I'm sure you are trying your best for the greater good, and the CAUSE, but surely this pressure will be taking its toll on you. I don't know how you can handle this, and keep going, but you must. And go on to an even greater ministry,  the Lord has for you. You pray for courage and boldness, and so He shall strengthen you. Maybe even having some of the following help you keep 'climbing that mountain'.

For you are Dolcinea, and even though. Dolcinea didn't think she was beautiful, ....  she was ! ... and you can fulfill the 'Impossible Dream'  You are the meaning of Dulcinea... 'a lady of love, a sweetheart'

For who was the most beautiful woman in the world to Jesus.....  Mary Magdalene ! And don't kid yourself, Mary Magdalene was not a worldly princess as some have idealized her as. Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. You are not a prostitute and surely never have been, but you share similarities, as Mary Magdalene thought she was the worst of the worst. The scribes and pharisees hated her, even though probably using her services in private. They are hypocrites, as they like most church people are concerned with appearances rather than heart purity and real righteousness of the soul and conscience. I mean even the Lord's male apostles similarly thought it was not right for Jesus to associate with her, or let her wash his feet and kiss him. But Jesus said.

Luke 7

37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

I am just spiritually guessing Lauren, but I think, you think you were a terrible sinner. And that's OK because it can mean you know the Lord so intimately that you know you are not perfect and your imperfections make you want to SURRENDER, and want to know the Lord more and more. Otherwise you couldn't sing SURRENDER with such conviction and heart and soul. Those that are truly close to the Lord, hear from the Lord, and know they are sinners and constantly need his help and RESCUE, they REMEMBER and know that EVERYTHING they have comes from the Lord.

This is why I would say, that JESUS in your dream, did not judge you, or accuse you, knowing full well, you were already convicted in your heart and would be trying your best, not to make the same mistakes again. Because you yourself would figure it out in time. The hyperlinked article above, went on to say ....

Singing as Though to Her Loved One

When it came time to record the demo-vocal, Lauren was asked to sing it as though she were singing to her loved one. The result is what we now hear on the final track: a song drenched with love, compassion and a fierce hope.

I don't know that much about music, though I know some Mathematical and Esoteric Meanings, This is the first song I heard from you on You Tube ( a month and a half ago).. and when you sang SURRENDER, the Lord started talking to me about you... IMO

You had my total attention on Drench my soul

 The above article went on quoting you as saying.....I remember the feeling that came over me, the second I realized that if I was ever able to sing it directly to that person, how would I want it to sound,” she said. “For everyone who feels hopeless, for everyone who feels desperate, for everyone who feels like they are at the end of their rope in life, what could I, how could I, sing? How could I articulate, how can I emote something that would feel like a warm blanket, and a comfort and an embrace to them?

(You can and have comforted others with the comfort you have received... from the Holy Spirit. You must have drawn really close to the Lord during your two years of sickness and afterwards)

John 16

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The article went on to say.. The music video for the song (below) is a sweeping, cinematic-style clip featuring Lauren standing on the Knik Glacier in Alaska, dwarfed by the scenery around her. Explaining the choice of location, Lauren says she wanted to visually portray a sense of hope that is strong and “firm as a mountain”. everyone who feels like they are at the end of their rope in life… how could I sing?”

My favorite song, we sung when I was field missionary....  was  Psalm 121

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, (or mountains) from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in

           from this time forth, and even for evermore

And seeing Lauren, you probably are still being attacked by church people for your loving attitude towards those that are not staunchly strict into church heterosexual marriage  and their man made restricts.. Please  know and understand  that your comments were godly and in tune with what Jesus said and how he related to 'Other Sheep'.. SEE Homosexual Questions and Answers ... and Lord Willing I shall send you more articles of confirmation from the bible.

But don't let them bring you down or off the mountain top. For you seem determined to give your ALL despite their opposition. Keep singing as if to individuals regardless if the system church rejects you in part or in whole, or if they boycott you, or openly protest against you. When they talk about righteousness, almost their complete discernment deals with yours sexual obedience to them, but they dismiss their backsliding with greedy materialism and heartless violence and backing of foreign wars against others.

Remember, they opposed Jesus all through His ministry, (even though there are a some sheep in their folds and even a few shepherds within their church system that are aligned to the Lord, but they also have to compromise to stay within, which makes it hard and harder for them to follow the Lord,  and for them to lead their sheep.

They almost always choose the easy path, the one most travel, because the majority follow it. Yet the Lord surely wants you to follow the path less traveled, for few have the heart and spirit, to go all the way to the top... of the mountain. They just don't REMEMBER' and just don't realize that EVERYTHING they have came from the Lord. But you do !

However Lauren, I am also lead to say, you might have experiences like JOB. and crash or already have crashed from their pressure. Its like you, can get boils like job. Do read the book of JOB, because it might apply to yourself as a balm of Gilead.... The devil was allowed to attack JOB because the Lord trusted Job to stay faithful and true even through pain, sorrow and affliction.

Because again, Lauren, I think you can hit the wall because of the expectations put on you, and even those you might put on yourself. Maybe its your record producer, and not just your fan base or church opposition. You could easily go into a deep depression because of your position on top of the mountain (in Alaska). .. and they would want to pull you down, and back into conformity. But your 'Look Up Child' Lyric, come to mind, as even current events can get you down when you are so sensitive to the pain and suffering of others..

You (Jesus) are not threatened by the war
You're not shaken by the storm
I know You're in control
Even in our suffering
Even when it can't be seen

Oh I, , I hear You say
I hear You say
Look up child,

     So keep looking up, Lauren, and as with Job, stay faithful to your dreams, visions and faith. You can over come and can have and will have an even greater ministry. IMO. For as I am saying, I think you are destined to be our End Time Female WITNESS. And when you grasp, the importance of this position, from your reading of Old and New Testament, it will humble you in its magnitude, that surely even you in your past accomplishments will again say. How can it be ? but REMEMBER, the words of YOU SAY

I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I'm not enough (But by HIS GRACE, you can)
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up (But you will because He has chosen you)
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low
Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know

You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak

(He makes the weak strong, because its His Strength)
And you say I am held when I am falling short
And when I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours

Oh, I believe (I)  (You won't fall short or not belong because you BELIEVE)

The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity.

(In HIm, we all find our worth and destiny. We find our ultimate CALLING.

And what matters is ONLY what Jesus thinks of you.)

You have every failure, God, You have every victory.

(And Lauren, your very name means 'VICTORY' and you will be victorious in HIM)
